Embroidering on leather-
You can't hoop leather, as it will leave a mark, and you can't baste it onto a stabilizer, because it will leave needle holes that show. Marie recommends using a sticky stabilizer. Aqua Magic Plus is a good one which won't gum up the needle. Also, recommended is using the sensor Q foot. It helps the stitch to form in the leather. Also, try using a 90 top stitch needle. If it is skipping stitches because the leather is extra heavy, use a leather needle, which has a wedge point. Most designs will work well, but try to avoid using a very dense one.
Stitching along side the placket of a blouse with an endless design- for exact placement, hoop the stabilizer, then touch fix to baste. Forward the basting stitch without stitching until you are at the bottom and just starting up the right side. You can now place the blouse with the needle next to the placket. Touch start/stop, and sew fix carefully guiding the stitching next to the placket. Allow it to finish. You now have half the area basted. Touch fix again, and begin stitching to complete the remaining two sides.
All about felting -
Felting is the process of manipulating fibers, usually wool, to mesh them together. The ER 10 felting machine uses no thread, it has five needles that poke yarn or wool fibers into the fabric.
Spray fabric with starch before marking with a water-erasable pen, this will make the fabric smoother to work on and prevent the ink from absorbing completely. This makes it easier to wash out after the project is completed.
When using starch or any iron-on products place a layer of parchment paper on the ironing board and another on top of your work,. This will protect your iron and the ironing board from becoming soiled with build-up
